17th December 2022

We warmly welcome back Gerry McAvoy the man who was responsible for the start of live music at Ripley back in 1999. Gerry was the long time bass player for Rory Gallagher and then spent 20 years with Nine Below Zero.

He is joined by Brendan O'Neil on drums who also played with both Rory and NBZ. They have Paul Rose a guitarist's guitar player who was picked out by Rory from a 1,000 young guitar players as the best. Also on guitar and vocals is Jim Kirkpatrick a musician who we have long been wanting to bring to Ripley having listened to his "Changed Priorities" album.

Together they make up Band of Friends and will give us a celebration of the music of Rory Gallagher.

European Blues Award winners.

Support from Dave Speight - "A National Treasure", Blues in Britain.
